I have been looking for a few years now for a Hangar 1 F-105 prop jet kit with no luck. I am hoping someone might have the large Tower Hobbies catalogs from the early to mid-90's as I know it was listed in there and had a picture. Does anyone here have a catalog and can look through it for the kit? I'd love to at least get a scan of what the plane looks like, I can't find ANYTHING on this kit. Thanks!

Nothing like that in the 1995 catalog. Closest thing are a Great Planes F14 and 15, and a Flight Line F106 No Hanger 1 brands listed.

I saw one of those F14s fly once. It looked jet like, but it wasn't blazing fast like a ducted fan jet. It was a nice balance.

Well I know it was in the large catalog somewhere around then. A friend of mine found it listed (no pic) in the 1995 Tower Talk. Kit #AG1058 $52.99

Is there an image? I will pay for your trouble to scan it, I'd even be happy with a cell phone picture of it. Or I'll buy the catalog if you'll part with it. I've been looking for a picture of the thing for years...

I built that Tomcat, and the Patriot for a guy, The Tomcat had the most sub assemblies to build the fuse I have ever seen !
You end up with about 30-40 pieces to build three box fuses, and glue them all together.

It was a Job.

I looked the other day and couldn't find it. Now, since someone located it, here is the scan of the page.

Nice looking propjet.

Anybody know who the owner of Hangar 1 was? If he is still around there might be plans available.

Don

Thank you so much iflyj3! I haven't seen that picture in many years, at least now know what it looked like!

They must not have made too many, I have never seen one for sale. That's odd considering I've seen multiple much older, (seemingly) rarer kits come up on eBay all the time.

I wish I did. It doesn't seem likely I will ever get my hands on a kit, but the plans would be awesome. Anyone have any clues?
