Finished the top plate. I took a while and worked alot on it. I sprayed 2 full cans of silver alluminum paint, sanding down between coats and giving a few days between cans. A few days drying, a little smoothing out the surface then I hit it with the Lacquer emptying the can with multiple coats. Came out great, I painted the covers too even though Im going to swap them for the Exo Carbon TRX options.

Few more mock up pics

The top plate came out nice, it looks really nice with the chassis. I hope you don't have to adjust the steering servo mount though, it looks like it'll be black under the screws.

No problem man, sometimes the little things slip through and don't get noticed until the end.

Surprisingly for the cost of a few bits for a Savage I built most of it. Everythings around 20 bucks with a few big tickets, hingpins n turn buckles, HS gears and Dual Disk with CF calipers were the biggest cost so far. Engine, pipe & electronics will be the largest cost overall, but only because of the options Im going with, STD Jato electronics, engine & pipe can all be had fairly cheap in comparison.

I tell yah 10th scale is easier on the wallet then 8th. No surprised, just feels good to have the Duckets go much further. Ive spent much more on busted Savage bits then on the Project so far.

Not a Special RC, no crazy custom fabricated parts, just a project for me to enjoy. Im getting many evil grins out of my RTR based Jato, just love going for session after session with it, and having fun over the summer with it. Good Times.
