Can someone please recommend better shocks for both the Earthquake 8e and Volcano epx pro?  Thanks in advance.

im pretty sure on the volcano that some traxxas rustler shocks will work. Not sure if you need the rustler's front or rear shocks (I think front)
But if you have a hobby shop you can take the volcano in and it will be easy to see which lenght.

However, stock rustler shocks wont be much of an upgrade. Stock plstic rustler shocks WITH alloy caps arent bad tho.

On the earthquake I dont recall for sure as its been some time since I had mine, but I wonder if some true 1/8 scale shocks could work.

Post the lengths of the earthquake shocks. I have some Ofna buggy shocks kicking aroung from a parts roller I bought off ebay. The shocks are VERY beafy (ofnas are pretty heavy) so if they could fit they would be a good upgrade.

What about shocks from the Redcat 1/5 or 1/8 scale RCs.  Will any of them fit?

let us know the length of the stock shocks.

I took a look at pics of the earthquake (again, its been awhile since I owned one) and remembered that the shocks are much shorter than your average 1/8 scale shocks. This is due to the face the earthquake is a stretched 1/10 scale chassis (see caldera)
I think that traxxas emaxx shocks might be pretty dang close tho.

On the volcano, there are traxxas shocks that will work, and possibly losi shocks. Ive had a losi strike, junk trans, but great shocks!

I'll measure the shocks when I get the Earthquake this Friday.
