Here are some Vides of my skymaster F-15 with a Kingtech K-140 kero start. Sorry for the quality they were taken with a 35 mm digital camera. Last year the jet was in a military grey scheme. Last winter I stripped the Jet and repainted it. I also added a Details 4 Scale light kit and a smoke system. Here are some pics of the jet before the face lift and some pics after the face lift. My F-15 is the one closest in the pic.

The Kingtech K-140 is running great. It has 8-1/2 hours on it and no issues at all. It defiantly pushes the F-15 great. The K-140 is a very strong engine. I am using the 3 cell A123 pack to run the engine.

The gear is down in the vid I had a right main hang up so I just put them down so I knew I would have them.

The smoke system has the tube running between the double wall on the tail pipe and injects the smoke at the rear on one side in the scale location. The smoke system itself is alll self contained in the center line drop tank. One servo hook up and one fuel line hook up and it is on the F-15.

Enjoy

I have a K140F fitted to a Jet Legend F15 and it's awesome.  Strange as I too have issues with the gear locking in transition.

Has been suggested to try more air volume.

Boat loads of power fom the 140

My gear issue is the UP-3. If I don't cycle the gear one time, it gets out of sink and the gear jams on the door going up.

Good job Joe! Thanks for sharing, by the way, 140 is Dirk's favorite engine.

Great job with the video Billy. I like the Full Scale Break.

The F-15 looks awesome with the smoke system. I have it turned down to 45% on the smoke pump. Also I am using the Form Release Oil for the smoke. It works OK but I think some of the commercial Smoke oils would work better.

I really like the scale appearance of the smoke behind the jet about a foot away from the tail pipe. That is from the placement of my injector at the tail pipe.

I heard some people used just diesel for smoke oil with pretty good result, probably not the brightest white smoke but for warbirds, I think will be fine. Joe you should Y the smoke!

Barry,

I have used diesel on Gas engines for smoke before. It does throw good smoke but it is more grey then white. Also it stinks real bad. As far as the Y on the smoke, I have thought about it but it would not be scale for this jet. All of the Twin Engine full size jets run a smoke injector only on one side.

Here is some video of the F-15 on her maiden flight with the Kingtech K-140. This was before it had a face lift.
