Status: offline 		As more information becomes available to me from Horizon and or the Glen Helen RC Track It will be posted here.  Including all sponsors, changes, updates and or live feed information.  We want to make sure that you are getting all information for this event!

This will be a very cool event as it will be open to all large scale makes.  If you are going to make it please post up here and let us know.

There will be no pre-registration for this event.  You may pay race fees when you arrive.  If you have questions please contact Larry@giantrc.us

2wd and 4x4 classes will operate with the rule of 30.5cc engines and smaller. No other limits on aftermarket parts.

2 Additional Race classes added:

31cc and larger engine
Electric vehicles

GLEN HELEN RC RACEWAY

AREA AMENITIES



There are numerous hotels and motels within a 15 minute drive priced from the budget to the luxury. The same is true for restaurants as there is fast food 5 minutes away to popular family restaurants and buffets within 15 minutes.

 
There are other amenities this new facility has to offer.  It is located in an area know as the Inland Empire 50 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.  
This is approximately a 60 minute drive from Pacific Coast beaches, 45 minutes from Disneyland, 60 minutes from Magic Mountain, 30 to 45 minutes from several Indian owned Casinos, 60 minutes from Palm Springs, 45 minutes from mountain resort areas of Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. We have exciting local Sprint Car Racing on the dirt ½ mile oval at Perris Auto Speedway. Last and certainly not the least, especially for the ladies, 30 to 45 minutes from 3 major Outlet Malls.    
As you can see this is not just a place to race cars, IT IS A DESTINATION FOR FAMILY FUN.

Yes for sure these types of races are a lot of fun.  It's really nice to see the Open platform to bring in as many RC Makes as possible.  Kudos to Horizon/Losi for operating their races in this fashion.  The aftermarket parts manufacturers really step up the support for these as well they donate $1000's in prizes.
I am hoping to be able to head down there to do a live feed so those who can't make it will be able to see the racing.  We should know more about that soon.

Due to economic uncertainties that force racers to makedecisions at the last minute whether they will be able to race certain eventswe are not collecting any fees upfront. 

However we would appreciate you providing the followinginformation as soon as possible if you plan to attend the event.  It is much quicker for our scoring person todelete racers than to add them at the last minute.

There will not be a charge for “no hook up” motor home andtravel trailer parking but we do need to know how big your RV is and youarrival date.

RCLS will be streaming Live from the West Coast Nationals click the link  to follow the event http://www.rclargescale.com/live/.  The Broadcast will start the morning of the 9th and run throughout the weekend.  We will not be broadcasting practice on Thursday!

As a reminder to all racers if you would please pre register and send the following information to [email]larry@giantrc.us[/email] as soon as possible.  You do not have to pay until you arrive at the event.
