Currently assembling my first TREX 600E and can figure out where this part goes...

I don't have the FBL version, and didn't have that part. Looks like the main head for the feathering shaft. I don't know if you have two options?

Just a guess but I think it goes on the top of the head to slip a flybar through, that way you can use a pitch gauge and it gives you a reference, you remove it for flight.

yup i agree.. I have 2 of those.. one for the 500 and one for the 450.. it screws on top of the read replacing the button.. just something that can be used to align the blades pitches.. after setup .. just remove it and replace back the button...
