Is there a thread that describes what the various icons mean? Like, when looking at a list of threads in a forum, the left-most cell, a round button, sometimes has an animated dog-eared piece of paper.

Hey guys.  I asked this same question soon after I joined the Universe.  Never got a reply.

Just went back and looked.  It was March 19, 2010.  Waiting.......

I just found one of those forums and let my cursor hover over the animated paper. On one where the paper looked yellow, a text box popped up and said "Hot Topic, new posts". One where the paper was white, the text box said "Hot Topic, no new posts."

I let the cursor hover over other icons, in almost every case a text box popped up with explanations. I found exceptions while writing this response - below there are some icons next to a "File" and two upload links, I don't know what the icon does or means.

A short update...

In this edit box (as I write this post) there are 3 icons below, all next to "File" references. If my cursor hovers over those icons no text box appears.

However, I saw that same icon on a forum post list, and it appeared next to posts that contained attachments.

When I let my cursor hover over the icon in the forum view, a text box popped up that said "Contains Attachments". So I guess they just left the explanation box off the ones in the edit window.

Now, someone explain what this smiley means: [&:]
