Status: offline 		What would be the best retracts for this kit. The Yellow aircraft retracts?? or Robarts retracts made for this kit??

Any comments regarding either??

Status: offline 		In my opinion, Robart makes excellant landing gear. However, The Yellow gear for the Yellow kits would, and has been, my first choice. Get them, you won't be disappointed.

Status: offline 		The Sierra Precision looks fantastic, they are probably the most scale, but I have yet to try them. Gean Bartons are stronger than the Yellow retracts. Yellow uses a pin to mount the strut to the pivot arm and have seen a few problems with those.

Status: offline 		I have both the Yellow and the Sierra gear, and I would say definitely go Sierra. The quality of construction is so much better on the Sierra gear. (Not that the Yellow gear are bad, but the Sierra gear are that much better.)

One of the things I noticed with the Yellow gear was if the torque links develop any slop the struts actually begin to rotate and get sloppy. The Sierra gear have much more robust torque links, and they are not used to keep the strut from rotating (hence no potential for slop).

I have Sierra's Tempest gear as well. If you want beautiful, detailed and robustly constructed retracts, go with Sierra. You won't be dissapointed.

I would post pictures, but my digital camera just went in for servicing.
