The event went very well yesterday and was even better than last year. We had 28 registered pilots, beautiful weather and a lot of fun. Thanks to those pilots who came out to fly. There were lots of different planes, of all sizes, from large gassers to small foamies. All are welcome at our event and we want everyone to be able to participate. There was no pilot registration fee, a free BBQ lunch for everyone, and free giveaways for pilots, including gift certificates, epoxy and six bottles of French wine. Some pictures are below. More pictures can be seen at our club's Website at http://www.lferc.com/PhotoAlbum/

More photos will be added to the photo album as they come in.

-Ed B.

Ed,
Thanks so much for all your hard work, it was a great time and everyone really enjoyed themselfs. Some really nice planes and people came out. I'm already looking forward to next year.
I've never gone to an event that was completley free , even a free give away. That really made the differance for guys with small planes or foamies that wouldn't want to pay to fly at an event.
I can see this event just getting bigger and better. I think the highlight for me was to hear that a mom brought out her son that is interested in R/C and this was the first time he got to see R/C planes fly... that had to really get him excited for the hobby and that's what it's all about

I'm working on the video and will post it here once I have it done.

Thanks again for all your hard work you are an awesome CD
Ron

Thanks again to Ed and the Club. Not many clubs that are more interested in having fun than making money my hat is off to them. One thing that was really cool for me was a family that had an older retired man with them that showed up later in the day. Turned out to be there Dad and he told me stories of WWII when he was on an aircraft carrier that shuttled planes out to the Pacific. He stayed on the Carrier till the end of the war in 1944. Good guy to talk to wish I could of talked him more.

Very nice video Ron. Tom

I agree Ron. I envy all you who were able to attend from the states. What a privilege.

How did the B-25 do? What a nice model, as it looked like all were.

Thanks for sharing.

Gary
