This is the way I think it works:

The sensor is a bipolar this means that it can trigger both sides of the magnet. The sensor sends to the CDI unit 2 imputs...that is the reason for the 4 wires on the sensor
Black negative, Red Positive ....that supply power to the sensor and then you have the white imput 1 when north magnet it passes and Blue imput # 2 when South pole magnet passes.
I hope that you got the idea.
Now in order to get this to work on thew prop hub you will need 4 magnets.
3 magnets north spaced at 120 degree a part and that will trigger the (white wire imput) and will fire each cylinder  in order.
Now the 4th magnet that will be the south pole will trigger the Blue wire. This has the function to count the RPM, and reset the  software to start a new cycle . This magnet  must  be placed after 3rd north magnet and before 1st north magnet with I think
30 degree after 3rd magnet ; this... to give enough time to the PIC controller to calculate the RPM, Reset and start a new cycle.
This I THINK IS THE WAY RCexel did it and I can not 100% confirm that....But I know this from my experience with my CH version of the 3 cylinder ignition that now I try to finalize and hope to be out next year in spring.
Have to test it first.

Thank You
Adrian

I'm wondering about the engine in itself, the not to inconsiderable lack of grunt and why they did a gas version at all.

The ignition will work from 4.8 to 7.4 volts.

Funny you should say that, and then showing us a photo of the box, where I can clearly read it says that the ignition will work from 4.8 to 8.4 volts.

The first ones are arriving now, much more expensive than expected, but still cheaper than Kolm and Mokis;

If they only could add some outline drawings when they try to sell an engine?

Oh well, these guys didnt ship to Norway last time I tried to buy from them anyway.

Not me the glo version sounds ok and doesn't provide the horsepower you need in an engine that weight. It's marginal in something like a corsair and sounds good too.I wish or hope saito are taking a leaf out of kolm engines progress and the more personal up front way they sell their engines.Anybody heard the kolm il 135 inline twin growl on you tube?man what a sound and it's in a mk5 spitfire, wish saito would make something like that even for the same price man i'd be in heaven

Hehe, thanks!

Looks like it will fit inside the cowling of my Vailly Fw-190 !!!!

I have a Zenoah GT-80 in it now. The 84 is only 200 grams heavier; Meaning I can remove 200 g of lead up front,
and get a bit more Hp ? The GT-80 says 6 hp, and this one perhaps 7?

Kwik; you will be disappointed with this information: FG-84R3 is rated at 5.7hp.

n8622t; the weight is 3,057g or 6.82lbs.

It's about .5 lbs heavier than the 450r glow version. Difficult to compare power yet but it does have nearly 10cc more displacement. Maybe it'll swing one size larger prop more efficiently.. time will tell. Or Kwik will tell us! lol

Hehe ! Yes, I have been dissapointed many times lately, trying to press-fit a gasoline engine into one of my warbirds.

Allways a dissapointment, it seems.

-Well, the Zenoah GT-80 manage the Vailly, but just about. Sound; not so good.

-The FG-57 turned to be a perfect fit for the ESM Corsair. Sound; Very nice.

-The FG-36 works very well in the ESM Stuka. Sound; Quite nice.

-But the G-45 and the XYZ 53 cc twin was both a bit to weak for the Sist D9.
Then again, the snout of a D9 is very slim. Still looking for an alternative.

"Kwik; you will be disappointed with this information: FG-84R3 is rated at 5.7hp. "

Hmmmm.....but; When they say the GT-80 is rated at 6 hp, I guess that is at a certain rpm.

Mine gives only 5700 rpm with a Menz std 24x10

So, if someone tested a FG-84, and it gave, say 6200rpm, with a 24x10, I think I would give it a go.
500 rpm more at the top would do all the difference in the world.

According to the proto video using JR telemetry, the engine turns a 23x12 @ 6400rpm on the ground and 7700rpm in the air

Guys , I just finish a conversion on a SR450 on CDI glow and it runs real nice,
I had a Vess 24B and I do not know how to translate this in a ...pitch 24x10? and it spins 6400RPMs.
The guy did not wanted me to go on gasoline, he wanted Glow CDI ...it has a Kello Creation muffler ....boy what a sound, it idle at 800-900 depending on the outside temp ,humidity and time of the day....but it runs nice, I sent Alf a quick video.

Hi Adrian; Are you going to be working on a gas setup for the 450R?And if everything goes well when do you think you will have them for sale? Gas or glofuel packages.

I have an engine, but it needs to be overhauled, its been in a box for about 10 years. It had low compression on one cylinder.I guess I can send it to Horizon for that or can someone else do that, does anyone know? Also Adrian how does the fuel burn compare to the regular glow engine,I remember it was a thirsty beast when I had it in my 1/3 Dr1 Triplane.
