Boulderboater ,

Nice PT boat you got there and Love the scale.

With mine, I opted to go on the cheap and went to Sky Craft and found that large 3 inch diameter Marine Pump Motor for $24.95 plus local tax (Brand new) and it does not need any cooling what-so-ever.

I believe my large PT311 has enough speed for my satisfaction and all is pretty simple to deal with.

Have fun.
Carlos

WW II PTB give us unlimited freedom on deck equipment. Very few were the same. I had no knowledge of a gunboat version when I did mine. Put on a 40 mm stern. 2 37 mm sides 1 bow 37 mm & the 2 twin 50s. Then decided to make it a transitional boat with 2 long & 2 roll off torpedos.

At 8' I was politly told I really had a small real boat to power. Wound up with a 41 # trolling motor inside driving 2 5" x 5" x 5 bladed Prop Shop props. regular full sized car battery With a Novak Reversing Super Rooster ESC. Can not kill it. Even with reversed polarity hook ups. Just blows apart the circuit breakers.

Kind of got carried away with 6 big G M car speakers & dual channel 120 watt amplifier with the speed & volume both increasing together.

Still needs torpedo launching systems. The props are speeded up with a 1 : 2 over drive timing belt system & S S drive system.

At 75. Might not do the launchers
