  Hey Guys,

Not sure where to put this, there isn't a section for ice on RC Groups!

I've recently created an ice vehicle and its so much fun to wiz around the ice. Quite a few people asked me why don't you make some and sell them, there seems to be some genuine interest!

So my question is this, if i was offering this product as a kit that you could assemble, and simply add receiver and battery would it be something that some of you would consider buying? and for how much?

Are there any particular features that you would want it to have?

Thanks for the feedback!

Other than driving it on frozen ponds/lakes, I wonder how many folks would be able to get permission to use it on an indoor rink? Plus I can do almost the same with my Dumas swamp buggy except the front steering on yours help to make it turn ! Nice idea...good luck.

scale only 4 me - Yes it runs specially designed metal blades, like an ice skater does. that initial prototype had aero rudders at the back but we are dropping those for a proper blade steering to get more control and grip.

flyinwalenda - working with the ice rinks is another thing that we want to do, because i think this activity could be good for them too! you could even have races and championships and etc, kind of like indoor 3d flying in sports halls, same thing in my view. True on the Swap buggy in fact thats where i started but having it run on actual blades with steering and being properly designed makes it much more like a car drives on the road rather than a drifting hovercraft if you know what i mean (the video is of one of the very first prototypes).

Around here,, realistically the "ice time" is so limited with Hockey and Skate lessons at the few indoor rinks,, they'd laugh at you,, Many Ponds around in the colder months though.

Neat idea,, good luck with it

That looks like it would be fun and something I would enjoy. Bur for those of us living in the south, we would be restricted to indoor facilities only. And for many of us, the closest indoor facilities would be hundreds of miles away. For me, Memphis, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Little Rock. The closest of those is Little Rock which is 150 miles.

I don’t know about selling, as most people on this site, just given the idea of such…. Would just build their own…. Like I did about 10 years ago…
