Nice work indeed. May I ask what kind of covering material is used? Thanks.

Filling the gap between the wings root ribs and the fuselage sides.

This is very important to prevent deformation of the wings root ribs that during the time can cause the break of the root rib.

I have seen a Wind S Pro losing a wing during flight because of this.

Best regards,

Isaac Najary

Hi Isaac
Congratulation, again a perfect plane.
Very good working from you. I saw many threads of you. Your building ist very good.
Your covering is very light. Perfect work. In another thread (Xigris) you paint your fuselage with 145 gr. Total weight of the finish process = 1,276-1,131(post 229) = 145 gram.
I thing that goes lighter. With another Monolayer 2K color. That must go easier I think. Is not pitty for light covering.
Nevertheless, I have a question about the hinge tape on the ele ..., ail..and I think on rudder. Can you explain to me why you do it that way.
I think I had read a long time ago that this hinge tape close the slot and it's aerodynamic better. Is it right or I'm wrong.
Why do you do that?
Please, have you a answer for me.

Respect. I bow at your work

Andreas

Hi
Your Painting is not so light. You build very light, your covering is very light. In my opinion your fuselage painting is heavy. I think there gives another lighter colors for painting. (One component color) And then you can Save weight on fuselage painting.
This is only a idea for Save weight.

Hi Andreas,

You right that Monolayer paint is lighter then the two layers paint.

But in my opinion the two layers paint is much more beautiful and luxuriant.

So I am willing to pay the price.

Best regards,

Isaac Najary

Analyzing the weights of the Xigris painting method shows as follows:

Two white coats all over the painting surfaces – 71 gram.

Painting the other colors – 23 gram.

Stickers – 4 gram.

Clear coat – 47 gram.

Total = 145 gram.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9305653/mpage_10/key_/tm.htm

The Arixtra painting surfaces are 10% larger then the Xigris so with the same painting method the weights of the Arixtra should be as follows:

Two white coats all over the painting surfaces – 78 gram.

Painting the other colors – 25 gram.

Stickers – 4 gram.

Clear coat – 52 gram.

Total = 159 gram.

So I decided to skip the stage of the two white coats all over the painting surfaces and to paint the white color as a part of all the other colors.

Let see how it gets out.

Best regards,

Isaac Najary
