Heres a few. Got about 30 pics but I'm having upload issues.
Today was about as good as it gets up here in Wisconsin. 74 degrees and sunny with about a 5 mph wind

Freshly back at home after visiting FDL today. Took a ton of pics so will upload as I get them off the camera. I can't say enough what an amazing event this is. I am reminded every year why I believe it to be the best event anywhere in the country, and this year was certainly no exception. The weather man could not have scripted a better day...absolutely perfect all day. The planes were, as they always are, fantastic. SO many true craftsmen at this show with so many well finished birds. Had to be 500 planes there with EZ up canopies stretched from end to end and probably a thousand spectators or more throughout the day. I think it was the best of the past 4 years I have been going. What a shot in the arm! Pics soon to follow to capture the scale and excellence of the time had by all.

whats great about the pics your showing is that I see maybe 1 ARF (p40) . Now that may be by choice of the photographer but it just points out that building is still happening and craftsmanship is still appreciated.

NO DOUBT about that Tony. There were some there, but comparatively very few of them. As ARF's go though, the TF 190A ARF made it's appearance there, and I must say, it is impressive. Fantastic flyer. I am still uploading pics, but they too will show the same fantastic building efforts. I love all of the unique subject planes that always show up there that I would probably never consider to build myself....so many fantastic golden age planes, racers, classic biplanes, all finished to the Nth degree.

Hard to call any early 'favorites' from the event, but I must say that Jeff's Spitfire is incredible. The F22 pretty much dropped my jaw too...bullet fast. The huge F16 also VERY impressive. The BUSA Albi...as nice as I thought it would be. The gaggle of P40's formation flying, also fantastic. The lunchtime WWI gaggle of about 15 planes was spectacular. Carl bringing back his B36 with two port engines out was pretty awesome too.

I really liked the silver F9F in post 16, but don't know who it belonged to. The huge Waco in post 16 was awesome too. The Art Chester Jeep in post 14 was a great flyer. The finish on the Thunderbirds jet was other worldly. Sadly the beautiful bird in the second pic of post 17 bit it hard during the lunch time gaggle. Pic 4 in post 12 shows it before the wipeout. There were a few other casualties of war but that one was the 'smoking hole award' for Saturday. A brilliantly built bird. Looked like Sam mashed up his B26 a little bit, but repairable. Am sure he will update what happened to it. The several fly overs by full size craft were a highlight as was the ample sponsorship of the various vendors. BUSA had a GREAT box of seconds balsa there that I raided for a great deal. Robart did a nice job with their booth and the informational session they had at the lunch time gig.

I still have the unique smells of spent jet and glow fuel, gasoline exhaust and that awesome popcorn stuck in my nose from yesterday.....activating all the senses as I took away a nice sunburn/tan for the 'feel' sense too. Easily the best event I have been too in my r/c career spanning 30 plus years

Hey, Mike,  thanks getting pics of Chucks and my Ziroli Spits up. They fly like a dream. I just love this field. My only complaints are
I think the clocks move alot faster in Wisconsin as the time flys by too fast, and you can wear out a pair of shoes quick. We got there Wed. around 2:00 and left shortly after the pig roast. We had a great time with great friends!!!
Lee

Lee, Yeah...it was great to see them fly. I will see if I have any more in flight photos. My camera isn't very strong for those....but my buddy brought the BIG lens and I am sure he probably got some fantastic shots of them filling up the lens in the air. I tried hard to get some in flight shots of your bird, but you flew it so safely at altitude that I couldn't really reach it, and there was a spectators huge head right in the shot I got of it landing. . I admired your patience getting all things tuned in before wringing it out honestly. Time flew even as a spectator.
