well, did more testing last night. I wired up the 2 fans to a seperate 2s 1000mah lipo pack (rx pack) I didnt have any glitching, but then I only got to do 3-4 high speed passes before I heard a bad sound. It sounded like the dredded spur gear strip sound. But when I pulled the cover off the spur gear was fine (I had forgotten it was hardend steel) The pinion gear on the other hand had only 2 teeth left! Ive been in the hobby for 7 years. Ive had some pinions that were brass which got worn down over time, but this was the 1st time I have seen a pinion gear have the teeth sheared right off! That novatech 3300kv motor on 3s packs a punch. The buggy pulled a wheely at over 25mph! The rear of my wing has road rash! (it acts alittle like a wheely bar...lol) So ill have to wait till a new pinion gear comes till I can know for sure if I have sorted out that glitching problem. I talked with a buddy who agreed that the ezrun esc blinks red if it overheats. I think that blinking green is what it does if it doesnt have a RX signal. So I think the fans overloaded the BEC on the rx and thats what caused the servo and throttle to cut out on me. When I get a new pinion gear Ill drive it enough to know for sure. I will also take some temp readings, tho Im pretty sure they are low enough. I will also double check the punch control and braking force on the ESC. I had them set a tad lower when running 2s (From stock) but Ill need to put them down more for 3s.
