Status: offline 		Hi i was just wondering if anyone has flown the microjet from Multiplex and what do u think. I have one but am waiting for servos for it before i can fly and just wondered what you guys thought

I've had a microjet for about a month now. Great fun, indestructible (not that I've had any crashes) but it sure survived the first two launches very well. Seems that if you don't launch it either straight out or slightly nose down the thing just wants to fly into the ground. There're quite a few posts that describe this very phenomenon, including tPhil's site. But once that is overcome, I've had nothing but success and a whole heap of heart-thumping fun! I have mine set up standard, but use a 9-cell AE1100 brick pack (5+4), which fits really nicely way back in the fuse.
Some of the guys seem to use prop adaptors, but I'm still using the original Gunther stick on prop 15 flights later. I didn't even use epoxy, just a little spit to help it on, and then push the prop fully on.
You've got a great plane there. Take a pair of binoculars with you on first flight, cos you just may lose it, it gets small so quickly!!

I would´t call it indestructible.... infact it breaks pretty easy, but CAs togeather again just as easy... with only a cosmetic loss.

I would rather reccomend a Projeti (http://www.hobby-lobby.com) it flies much better.

Status: offline 		The microjet is a great plane to fly. However it needs at least an intermediate level pilot comfortable with small and fast planes.

I am flying one with an Aveox brushless motor set up and this plane is out of this world.


Hand launching needs a fair bit of care and requies a firm throw at a 30 degree angle.

Now I want some brushless action!

Any ideas for a good brushless setup that can use my KAN 1050 bats that take up to 18-20 amps ?

Im using KAN 1050 cells, and the stock gunther again. The CAM props break all the time on me!! sp400 6V

Status: offline 		We have the Microjet, RTF model, stock motor and prop. We have several different Lithium packs and find a 3S, 11.1V 1200mAh Lithuim works best. The Microjet is loads of fun and incredibly fast for a box stock electric model. We’re very happy with the flight envelope. I was out flying the Microjet this afternoon in the wind; down wind passes were ballistic... Still using the stock prop and all after about forty flights... This thing does take above average skills to pilot IMO.

I'm going to try an Astroflight brushless in the beast next with a 4.9x4.9 prop.

As mentioned you have to launch the Microjet at about 70 degrees with a hefty toss. Until you’re used to the model I'd suggest getting someone else with a good arm to throw it for you.

Another thing that seems to be pretty common is the ailevons need to be adjusted up approximately 2mm from what appears to be a neutral location.
