I have a homelite 25cc converted to gas/glow. In the search for more power output, I bought a homelite 30cc piston and cylinder for my homelite 25cc engine;  only to find that the roller bearing for the crank shaft does not fit my homelite 25cc engine crank shaft (it is too small).

Has anybody removed and replaced the roller bearing for the piston? Are special tools needed?

Will the crank counterweight properly balance the piston ?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Ranga

Wrist pin needle bearings are not mandatory for our applications. you can use bronze, (even aluminum) bushes with good results.
When removing cupped needle bearings a special tool is needed. I believe the INA web pages have a drawing.

You may not have the correct P&C?
