HI Guys, most are not pricing a jet right, the up front money is not a good way of pricing a jet. The proper way to price a jet is the  total cost to get it in the air, subtract the resale value, then divide the number of flights you got on it.
In other words, its the cost per flight.
My BVM jets are the cheapest, and FEJ's, the most expensive.
The best entry jet and first flight of the day jet is the Boomerang Sprint.
The second  tough , allround jet is the Flash.
And next is the BVM Bandit and Bobcat.
Rcpete

Pete,

I don't understant the Matrix of your Math... Can you give an example with Dollar Numbers... No specific aircraft is needed... I just don't understand the math. IE: Where do you get " Resale Value " is there a Blue Book.?? I understand the # of flights figure, but what do you do with that # in relation the Resale Value or the Price to get it in the air... LOST...

HI, resale valve is not rocket science, most guys know what used aircraft sell for, just check the sold items in the market place.
Also just ask the question, most guys are more than willing to give a value.

When I look at cost to purchase vs resale value I sure wouldn't put bvm at the top anymore. The flashes sell for a higher percentage of new than any bvm jet does anymore. I took a bigger beating on my super bandit and kingcat than any other jet I've owned.
I loved my kingcat, I don't like bandits, after building the super bandit, flying it, and flying numerous others, I'd never buy another bandit. I think the flash looks better, flys better, and is a far better value than a bandit.
When you do check the jets that have sold, not just what people are asking, I think you'd find the resale on bvm products is nowhere near what it used to be. The simple fact is, there are products out there today that are just as good or better than bvm for far less money.

Hello guys,

im looking for a good sport medium size jet, something like the Ultra Flash or Bandit, preferabely fully composite (as it needs to be tough) for a fair price.
I would love an Ultra Flash relaly but the price is steep so im having second thoughts.

Does this exist at all ? it seems like the market is lacking in this field.

thanks for reading.

How about the Y/A Starfire

How about a 1.9M Futura?
I have the small and large. I have many flights on the Large. Great flying jet. Wont be as fast as a bandit or flash, but should be better in every other aspect.
All composite. lots of carbon, tough as heck and flys great.
Easy to break down.
just another option.
I think they are under $4K

the discussion is a bit beyond what i intended.

the topic is a high speed aerobatic jet (such as the flash etc) with better cost - it might very well not exist, but its certainly no reaction or easyjet !

It doesn't exist. The Ultra Flash offers a lot of value for the money, so I think your expectations are off if you think it is "pricey". You would be better off buying used and letting someone else take the depreciation hit.

Having only a Toyota Corolla you are limited to what you can fit. Don't forget there is a lot of support equipment required with Jets. You should be looking for a twin boom airplane, like the Bobcat or Boomerang. Both brake down to small packages.

For information the Gryphon is a two piece fuselage and two piece wing kit, so breaks down smaller than most 2m sports jets that I know of.

I have no problems transporting a Flash (one piece wing) and all support equipment in a Citroen C1, so I am quite sure that a Corolla would be fine. Providing you don't need to take passengers

Gryphon= 1445.00 British pounds sterling = 2287.0015 US dollars

You might as well buy a Ultra Flash

The Gryphon is a good looking ship though

I wouldn't mind having one...

Come to Jetpower and I will do you a deal on one of two kits I have there - as far as gear goes you can go cheap with Eurokit stuff or as I used in my demo kit the Electron 40 or 50 (electric retracts) range with Jet A1 trailing link gear. I believe most sports jet gear will fit so the choice is really very wide to suit most pockets.

Such a beautiful jet but my god his prices are "up there". Please don't think I'm saying it isn't worth it but it's absolutely high end on the scale. I've wanted a number of planes from that group but could never justify the price. The stinger was right up there on my radar until I realized it would cost me way more than a good sized scale jet. Same with the euro and this is no different. Custom work is expensive but yikes.

Making things small does not mean they are cheaper, sometimes they are actually more, bit like turbines, so sorry but I disagree with your chosen words.
