Status: offline 		WATTFEST 2012 will take place 13 and 14 October just south east of Tampa at the Triple Creek RC flying field. This all electric event is fast becoming Floridas Premier Electric event where you can see the full spectrum of Electric Powered aircraft from pre-WW1 to multi-engine airlinres, micros, Giant Scale, Gyrocopters, FPV aircraft, video capture aircraft, helicopters, Orthonocopters and much much more. This is the second annual WATTFEST event, we have moved to our permanent home which is much larger and can accommodate overnight camping.

Status: offline 		Yeah, as a matter of fact, the response has been great. This past Friday I went to a distant club in another county to put up a flyer. As I was approaching the bulletin board, their club president also was walking to the board with the same flyer in his hand to post it. It was a copy of the flyer from the 250 mile radius email campaign you did.
I doubt many people would put the effort and creativity into promoting an event as you do.
Your tenacious efforts are paying off in many ways!

Status: offline 		triple creek did the flying part on the flight line with rc planes. me and the other cd were on the inside of the hanger with the static display. the primary..tenacious... also directs the static display, and actually flew with the flight line rcers that year. he has now joined that clud as will i.
we both were part of getting some inflight video that day with an rc plane.
not sure of the direct link.. but his youtube is... warbirdguy1... mine is sonixsp...we both do a lot of rc type videos

Status: offline 		Quick question- is there a grass landing area at the field ? The model I am bringing needs a long asphalt/concrete runway or a nice grass landing area.. my landing speed is quite high so at a grass runway it is more convenient to land... at a hard surfaced runway it becomes more challenging , just have to cover the belly with mylar tape to prevent scratching the fuse to smitherins ! Also the 8 am pilot's meeting is too early for me to be there so I wil have to be filled in later on ! This will be my first Wattfest and I am looking fwd to be there !

Status: offline 		 actually both. i fly both EDF and WW1 planes, so etheir can be used. in fact the over runs are reall good at both ends too.
