Has anyone bought one of the NEWLY RESTOCKED Nitroplanes Ventus Discus 4 meter gliders?? http://www.nitroplanes.com/90a126-discus4m-v2.html Any thoughts on it?

its ok............i put 500 watt on the nose.........its a bit heavy but you need to fly it down,,,it could use air brakes

Hmmm.... 6 servos so I assume it has flaps?

Might be a good cheap aero tow candidate.

Wing span listed as 3650mm or 143.in

Yea the old one was 2.6m. Its listed at 7lbs which is pretty heavy but they tout it as electric, I wonder what it would come in at without a power system.

It would be nice if they had the manual online.

Now on sale for $ 133.10 lol
No air brakes or flaps.Plywood formers glued in crooked with a twisted fuselage.
Missing wing tips.
Wings did pass the eyeball test.
Just about what I expected from a cheap arf kit.Im sure I can make in fly ok with a few upgrades.

OK........... I bit the bullet and bought one........ NOW......what size outrunner electric motor should I get to go with it? What size ESC? What size Li-Po?

There was also an old one that was 4m, there is a long build thread around it. The new one is a bit different.

My dad bought one of the new ones and just flew it today. Actually said it did pretty well, but really could use airbrakes or flaps. More of a light wind/lift kind of plane, but did okay in 20kt winds off the slope. We will have to see how well it holds up.
