I'll probably only run it on 3s so not quite the same as 6s in an 1/8 truggy. There are a couple reasons for doing this:

1) because I can.
2) to be able to say I did!
3) I will never have temp issues with it.
4) it will be stupid fast on just 2s
5) standing double backflips

Need I continue?

lol my 1/8th is only on 4S

Can't argue point #1 lets face it 99% of what we do in the hobby boils down to #1

no thanks on 4S I ripped the entire front assembly off my jammin X1 from UNDER the front diff. It was weird the diff was still on the screws were fine just the plastic that goes under the diff to hold the bumper was literally ripped completely out, and that was the only damage. Also I've never even got it up to full speed on 4S as it likes to pretend its an airplane at 70% throttle, but this is mostly due to my tire choice(Masher 2k's off an emaxx) as the tires diameter increases over 2 inches while its accelerating to the point it looks like its running on pizza cutters.

Got my conversion part in this morning. here are the pics of the conversion. Its alomst complete. I just realized I put everything together and forgot to install the driveshafts! I am missing a couple screws and need to intsall the ESC and receiver but other than that its done.

I did a bigblock nitro conversion to it when I first got it last year. so here is how it started out today.

and the electric conversion progress. I went ahead and dropped in a mamba 2200kv motor for sizing. I plan to pick up a 2650 for it instead since this one is my buggy motor. I am running a modified spur gear on the diff. I used it with the Werks B6 engine when I was running nitro. the gears in it now are 26/38. it should do somewhere around 40-45MPH on 2s the way it sits. I don't know if I am going to keep this battery tray or go a different route with it so I can fit 3s to run with the 2650 motor. But this is what I have so far.

6s would be nuts! I might give that a try if I can figure out how to mount one of my 6s batts to it! I think 3s would be about right for this set up.

I had those on it when I did speed run on nitro. I just haven't switch them yet. I have a set of dirthawgs in the package and the original pins tires that came with the kit. I'll just run those untill I wear them out then put the dirt hawgs on.

I also just hooked up 4s to it. this thing is going to be wicked! Just need to wait for the ground to dry. it has been raining for four days straight

I'm not sure how much more I want to put into this little truck, but I'm thinking of picking up a set of RCMonster 17mm wheel adaptors so I can run 1/8 buggy wheels. I think a set of proline badlands would do nicely!

Here is a quick vid of it running. The center diff is sending too much power to the front wheels. I need to thicken the center diff to put more power to the ground. But it runs. Just needs to have the setup tweaked a bit to get the full potential out of this brushless system. It's not in this vid but I did run it down the street and it wound out to about 50 mph in no time! Should be fun once it is set up properly.

Well how do you like that!?! I just recieved I LIPO battery lot that I traded my last nitro engine for and found that I now have a 4s battery that fits inside the unmodified battery tray on the crt.5! Its a thunder power 4s battery. it has velcro over the labelso I can't see the mah of the "C" rating, But its 4s and it fits inside the tray. I will still have to modify the tray to fit some of my other batteries but I just though this was cool! It is a very tight squeezeand bulges out the sides of the tray. I have some 3s batts that won't fit in there and even some 2s that are quite a tight fit as well. I figure this 4s batt to be in the 3500mah range just based in its size but in this little truck its going to rip!

it does rip! I just took it out for a 8-10 minute run. This thing will do back flips on demand! after almost 10 minutes of hard running the motor barely got warm to the touch and when I checked the temp it only got to about 70 degrees the ESC didn't even feel warm. The battery got warm and when I checked the temp the battery was 102 degrees which is a bit on the warm side for my liking but still safe. I could gearing down a little to help with the battery temps. I will probably mostly run this thing on 3s though. That should be a good ballance of temps and power and still do standing backflips!

Here is the CRT.5 on 3s. I wil take another vid of it on the 4s battery once I get an adaptor for the charge lead. I think 3s is just about right though! The center diff is still limiting the power by quite a bit. I need to get some 20K diff fluid and I think it will be right.

Here is the modified battery tray. I just cut out the out side of the tray and added a couple straps. This allows me to use thicker batteries. Work perfect!
