Sorry Gentlemen, I dropped the ball and forgot to reply to you when I received my muffler. It looks great and a lot more sturdy than the stock muffler. I have not tried it out yet as I decided to recover and add rib stitching and other scale things to my Bucker Jungmann. I did however refer J'Tec to another guy at my club who said the J'Tec exhaust worked great and sounds awesome on his Pitts. He called them up and they have them ready to go now. I had my exhaust modified for my plane as you will see in the pictures the tubes are at an angle. The guys at J'Tec were friendly and helpful and we BS'd on the phone even after business. I would highly recommend them. I don't recall exactly what I paid anymore and I can't find my confirmation email or receipt but I remember it was a little more than the Bennet. Sorry it took so long for me to reply but enclosed are the pictures of the muffler and my re-do Bucker.

Well sorry again, this F-ing site will not allow me to upload the pictures right now. I will try again later. Just my luck!

Finally!!! Had to shut down the computer and retry.

I hoping to have my plane back together in maybe a month. I am almost finished in fabricating and need to recover. I will take pictures and video of its re-maiden with the new exhaust.

I have one for my engine as well but have not tried it yet for sound. Still a little cold up here.
The only thing I would like to see would be if he could spread the tubes apart a little more to allow
the spark plug boot more room between the tubes they are a little close to the tubes.

Hey Magnum, you are right! I didn't notice that before. I am sure he could spread them more as there is room on the sides. I hope this just works for me now. I think I know what I will be working on tonight!!!! Lets hope it works.

I'm going to slide some high temperature Silicone tubing down the tubs too see if I can pervert the spark plug boot from making contact with the exhaust tubes.

I just got a word today from Bennett Mufflers, that the DLE-55RA mufflers are ready for shipping. They are now also listed on the web site.

http://www.bennettbuilt.com/shop/Mufflers.html

Regards, Jim

Well I got one of the Bennet Mufflers, great design, VERY strong, however, on running the same prop as I was brfore on the standard 55RA muffler, I was now at 103 dB at 3 metres, and the RPM's were down by approx 400 rpm. This is with a APC T6 prop (I am racing it in a mustang).Put the original DLE muffler back on, and dB is back to "just" make the limit (98), but the RPM's are back up to where they want to be.
As soon as I started the engine with the Bennect muffler, it sounded cackly and harsh, but the outlet tubes on the Bennet muffler are much smaller than the original muffler, so apart from the actual size of the muffler, I think the tubes are choking the engine.
I have had to go back to the supplied muffler, just hope it holds together.
My 2c worth.
