The Wings Miniature Aircraft Society is sponsering our 5th annual Scale Warbird fly-in at Abernathy, Texas, just North of Lubbock in the Texas Panhandle. All Warbirds in campaign colors are welcome including Jets (with waiver), Props, Electric ducted fans, Electric props, etc. Friday Sept. 14, 2012 starts the fun, and it lasts through Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012. Trophies for Best Scale Flight, Best WW1, Best WW11, Best Modern, People's Choice will be given to the participants. T - shirts and food vending will be available. We have a 75' X 1300' Jet & large scale friendly field with permanent sun shades free to the first come, first served. Door prizes and pilot drawings are also featured.

For more information, please access www.westtexaswarbirds.com for more information and directions to the site held on the Abernathy Municipal Airport. All paved roads and local accommodations in Abernathy and Lubbock. Landing fee is $25.00 includes 1 pilot lunch on Saturday.

Come on out and have a great time with us. Weather is forecast to be high 80's with mild Southerly winds (right down the runway)
