Hey folks, been looking for a thread out here on RCU about the IWC. Search function only wants to return items from 2010 or older. Is there a thread out here somewhere?

Okay! Let's have some fun and post some pics at the same time! The last two days at Muncie have been great and the flying greater. Here's a few pics of the "International Olympic Scale Judging Team" critiqueing Carl Bachhuber after a flight with his Convair 550. You'll notice in the one pic that Carl is considering filing a protest with the Chief Judge regarding the low score from the Russian judge? I have to say that the judges NEVER placed a bigger burden on any pilot than what they could bear! Carl just needs to suck it up and deal with it :-)

Thanks Scale!

Howard, was planning to come on Saturday but didn't know if the threat of Isaac was going to keep people away with the threat of rain. Thought about coming tomorrow instead... or perhaps both days. :-)

Dave

p.s. Please keep the pictures coming!!

Speaking of Sam..........................here's a pic of his P-47 this afternoon a few milliseconds before he bellied it in. His gear finally got him after three days of trying to wear the plane out :-)

It was so bad today that Dennis and Landis had to get away from it all! Here's a few pics of them driving back and forth on the hill north of the flying site. They finally came back in due time with smiles on their faces. I was told it was merely for rehab reasons that they decided to go foraging in the wild!

Dennis and Landis were gone so long trying to find themselves that Linda decided to earn some extra money delivering mail around the Muncie area! She always serves with a smile :-)

Here's some pics from the Friday night activities tonight. The weather was perfect and a pretty good crowd showed up. The outdoor movie set-up was awesome!

Had a great day flying. Only a slight sprinkle around noon but the show went on with style & grace. Will enjoy the Hog Roast tonight. One of the best 4 days of continuous flying I've had in quite a while. It sure could have been worse if you believed all the weather folks who get paid the big bucks to get things right half the time :-)

Went both yesterday and today as a spectator. Awesome show as usual despite the weather predictions. Never really did rain while I was there... a sprinkle or two.

All I can say it was my first time attending and it was incredible. Awesome bunch of pilots and a great place to fly. Just doesn't get much better than this! Weather threatened us for a fair amount of the weekend, but the warbirds fought off the clouds and kept them away. Will be back next year with a facelift on teh old DC-3. She will be wearing SE Asia camo in her AC-47 gunship scheme. Looking forward to it already!

I agree with John. I have participated in this event since its inception. I always look forward to it. Dennis and Linda put so much effort into this event.

Also the guys and gals from the Henry County Wright Flyers always keep things running smoothly.

Next years movie? THe Blue Max, Hint, hint

Cheers
