Here is another option for custom made decals. E mail Norman Berger at acedrummond@gmaiil.com and request a quote. He'll make up anything you need . I just ordered some custom "Minute Men" decals for my F-16. They were shipped within 24 hrs of payment. I especialy like the special squadron insignias he can create and you can also get your name on the cockpit side in .3 or .5 inches high. In my case, I asked Norm to google on F-16 Minute Mem photos and them told him the sizes that I needed.  Hope this helps.

If you want a great source of grapics try Callie Graphics, she does great work and will do custom work very reasonably  http://www.callie-graphics.com/index.php  Here is what she made for me using an old B&W photo of my mom when she was 19 and working on bombers as a mechanic.

Awesome! Glad they can be of use! I've included all the abs parts and a set of Century Jet retracts.

I'll get them sent out tomorrow.

Casey,

Thank you very much from 1.5 and I.

1.5 saw the cockpit on the tail of the plane and said that is a bad guy plane. He knows those German crosses from the WWII history movies we watch. My wife ask he would quite saying that because she is of German decent.

Yep, that would be a bad guy plane.... Its my Lien/Holman FW190A8 I'm trying to finish up here in the next week or so. Its got an AXI 5345-14 motor, Castle Creations ICE HV120 V2 ESC, two 5 cell 5000MaH 65c batts. It would also be the reason I've not been as active in the Spitfire brotherhood at the moment...I guess I'm busted....lol

Tell 1.5

it is good to know the enemy, but it is best, never to have mom on your six!

Funny in that my wifes family is all Austrian, her Opa was stationed at WNF(Wiener Neustaeder Flugzeugwerke) outside of Vienna. I have members of my family that flew in B17s dropping bombs there.... it does make for fun at Christmas!!!

Your package will be there on Friday!!!

Merry X-Mas!!!

I'm working on the good guy part but it's just to funny sometimes...

Now that is funny!

While 1.5 and I sit and watch those ground war documentaries he ask each time the scene changes, are those good guy or bad guys. It is really hard to keep up with the show. The planes create less of a challenge since he picks most out by markings

Being former Army, I can see the humor in that.

Great looking FW 190. Be sure to update me on the flights.
Also, I agree about keeping mom off of the 6. I cant seem to do that either.

Again, thanks for the P-40 equipment. 1.5 and I are going to mod his current P-40 with the upgrades, or we may build another. Like the Spitfire, you do not see many of them at fly-ins, but the P-40 removes the cowl and cooling issues of the Spit. Choices

Hi Guys, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. I have a question that I hope can be answered here. I purchased a Skyshark 1/5 P-40N and I love the kit. I tried to buy retracts and reading the thread the recommended retracts for the model are the Century Jet retracts made for the kit. When I emailed Mike from Skyshark and asked him about using them and did they sell them he told me that they don't handle them any more and the kit was redesigned for the sierra retracts. anyone shed some light on this? Also does anyone know what sierra retracts I should use? I emailed Sierra and have not heard back for a couple of days. I read somewhere that Sierra is very bad getting back to people. Just because of that I would by the century jet ones.
Thanks everyone
Tony

Tony,

I have a hard time getting Sierra to answer emails, but he answers the phone for me every time. Best gear by far.

The DLE 55 is very nice...it flys the plane great. I have had some dead sticks but it was due to the fuel tank moving and pinching the fuel line. I used Sierra retracts...but they were the retracts designed for the ESM Hurricane kit and I had to do some mods to them to get them to fit and rotate correctly. The Skyshark P-40 flys great, but it definitely has a lot of left turning tendency on takeoff...be ready to use lots of right rudder.

Hi Radfordc and Casey,
Thanks for the info. I will call Siera next week to see what the scoop is on the retracts. Great to hear the DLE 55 will fly the plane with authority. I may try to off set the engine with a little of right thrust to aid in the takeoff. What do you think about a 3 blade on the DLE 55? look mighty nice??
