Status: offline 		 I need advice re payload and RC  helicopters.  

My first project requires An affordable (one use)  helicopter or Quad(?) that can lift a roll of toilet paper 12' into air and be maneuvered indoors. 

I understand that fluorescent may interfere with infrared.  Is there an easy solution or controller that is able to cope better than another with interference?

I also need advice about larger helicopters/quads that can be used in tandem to lift 10-20lbs together outside.  I am exploring replacement technology for what I have previously used weather balloons for,ie lifting large banners. 

All advice appreciated.

Status: offline 		your best off with a quad  guys are building some that lift  big weights  but thats gonna cost ya  browse around the quad section im sure theres some reading for you.  also quads fly easier from what i hear  so if your a noob to the heli world  you wont want to get  a heli as its going to take you a while to learn it.

Used in tandem????  To lift that much for a a regular heli, you would have to use at least a 600 size heli.  20 lbs is a hell of a load for a rc heli.

Status: offline 		There's an RC Helicopter capable of lifting 20 lbs.? Wow....that seems impossible to me. Are we talking some 80" rotor blade 6"wide with a V8 motor? I'm just kidding....but honestly...Quads..Heli's....are they capable of that?

Status: offline 		You can build a quad as big as you want to to carry as much weight as you want to. I supposed a man carrying one could be built assuming you could find a man who would ride in it. If you look at some of the big electric systems for giant scale there are setups that can pull a 30 pound model to unlimited vertical. Four of those gives you 120 pounds of lifting capacity, possibly more with the right props.

Status: offline 		from holding it in my hand and spinning up I found that my 450 can lift at least 8lbs this is a 1.5lb model
but fly it indoors FORGET IT
