the Chipmunk a great flying aerobatic plane with no bad habits. It may not be the snappy Cap Edge or Extra but it fly so well and lands with ease.

Oh that kind of ball link. that works. put a washer underneath the head of the caphead screw that hold the ball link on. that way if the pushrod end pops off the ball it will still be retained.

Status: offline 		jkr 1100 did I understand you to say that your Tiger would not spin? Because My Tiger 60 That I am Flying now spins like crazy...I have done a few mods to it like bigger tail feathers and maby thats why But I can spin rite side up or up side down no problem at all...It really cranks...One thing I have trouble with is hammer heads to the left..You can do them but I usually need a little blip of power and thats cheating in my book...I think I gotta kick in sooner on that side....

I currently fly a Tiger 2, and love the gentle, predictable handling of it. I've also built a Tiger 60 for a friend, and have another .40 kit on the shelf, just in case ;-).

Status: offline 		I used Efilte electric retracts and I am not all that happy with them...Not for a rough grass field anyway..Maybe they would be okay for a paved field but I have a tough time keeping the wire legs strait.....I can bring it in pretty soft too...You can get after market struts that I am going to try but the waranty is void after that . Possibly mechanical or phneumatic retracts is the way to go...I have only used them once and I went for what I thought would be the easiest way...

Status: offline 		rye- I purchased a set of retract's for a Tiger 60 from Robart last December, part # 605-T60. They are neumatic, understand they are making some electrics, not sure about that model. You may be able to purchase them there still.

Tried to get mine converted to electric, no one at that time would. Purchased E-flight 60-120 tri-gear installed the strut's from the Robart set in them. Have only had the plane in the air once since instulation. I fly off grass runway, seams one retract or another will collaps.

Informed Horizon about the problem, they sent a second set, still having problems with them.

Both magazines are signifcant to me in that the Flying Models issue is March of 1973, and contains the first article I ever published in FM. Nearly 40 years later, I'm still writing my monthly free flight "FF Sport" column and feature articles for them. The issue of the Playboy magazine that overlays it had a centerfold of Dorothy Stratton, one of my favorite college fantasies, tragically gone before her time. It just seemed like the kind of stuff a pilot would want to read on long, boring, cross-country flights!

Status: offline 		Had a sky Tiger, bashed the tail for split oversize elevators and full height extended rudder. doubled the size of the ailerons, made it a tail dragger and powered it with a saito.91 that thing was a hoot and flew it for many moons. sold it to a guy and he is still flyin it to this day.
