Hey everyone, I'm a beginner in the rc drift scene. I have been looking at videos and looking at this forum and I really want to get into this hobby.
I'm in New Port Richey Florida and would like some advice to help me get started. I wanted to know what good brands to look for, and also I had a very important question
Do the Yokomo's come with just the chasis, or does it come with a remote controller too? Also any links to a combo package of an RC drift car + controller and all that. Since I'm new and all, I'm not entirely sure how to purchase my first rc car, and I don't want to screw up and it not come with a controller. Basically what I'm trying to say is a ready to drive rc drift car. But later on modify it down the road.

I'm looking to probably spend anywhere from $200-$350, I'm only a beginner so a nice entry level car would be nice, especially a company with a variety of shells too. Not required but definitely a plus.

Sprint 2 Sport Drift... I just picked up one in a trade and I'd recommend it. All 190mm 1/10th scale bodies will fit. It's the standard, so not lack of parts here. You can go brushless or CS it later, and it's right in your price range.

I was wondering if this would be a good buy?

Well my .02 is that as you have never had a Drifter you may or may not like it so why not get a cheap car like a Exceed Driftstar. A lot of people will knock them as junk but for just playing or finding out if you want to stick with it they are perfect and tough as nails!. I have bounced off and hit solid objects HARD with mine and never broken it yet. If you like it and want a more competition ready car later then have at it. Try Nitrorcx.com for a Exceed. Have fun and Good luck.

It's a good car, but you can save about $75 (Free shipping) if you look for a TT01ES XB on EBay.

If you read through the similar thread in this section I'm sure you'll be able to decide on a good vehicle for you.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I just picked up a HPI Sprint 2 Drifter Camaro today.
I wanted a longer runtime than 15 mins on the stock battery, but so far I took it for a test run for a good 8 minutes and I'm in love with drifting and definitely know that this is something I want to get into.

Did you mean 5000MaH or 500? Lol wasn't sure.
And if you don't mind me asking, what's a good charger? Since my stock one supposedly says it takes 6 hours for a full charge. I wanted one with more amps but not sure where to look.
