Hi,

I'm new with RC Tanks, I bought a Tamiya Tiger I 56010 Kit, but at the moment of the RC Equip setup I can't make work the MF-01, I always have the orange light blinking and don't hear nothing from the speaker. I make the self test and heard the motor sound, MG light and the recoil effect. Please can you help me? What I doing wrong?

Thanks

Antonio

Did you hook up the communication cable?

It could mean your receiver is not working or bound to your transmitter. What kind of Transmitter and receiver are you using?

Pzjr is right.  Flashing orange lights on the DMD usually mean there is no incoming signal from the receiver.

I'm using a Futaba T6XAs with a R146iP Rx, working in PCM mode.

I'm not familiar with the Futaba T6XAs and R146iP Rx. I use the Spekrum 6i 2.4 ghz transmitter and ar600 rx. I follow the directions for connecting the DMD channels 1-4 to the rx and then I bind my rx to the transmitter. There is a plug that goes into the battery terminals on the rx for binding on my rx. I then turn on power to tank and my rx is flashing (telling me I need to bind to rx), I then hold a switch on the transmitter (for me it's the trainer switch) and turn on power. The rx will be bound to the transmitter when the rx stops flashing and turns to solid light. I then release the trainer switch on transmitter (b/c it's now bound), and take the plug out of the rx.

You might have to do something similar to this. Check your Transmitter/rx manual.

The Futaba T6XAs is and old digital radio, works on PCM and not 2.4Ghz, you don't have to bind the TX with the RX because they use crystals. I have a Futaba 2.4 and I will try changing to this radio and RX to discard that the T6XAs are the problem.

With the 6XAs I have movement control on the tracks, Gun elevation and turret move. But the MF-01 that control the motor sound, MG fire and Gun fire don't work, I get the orange blink light always.

I believe there is a way to do a test on the two control units. I cannot rememebr how, but the manual should tell you. I suppose it is possible there is a problem, though they are usually pretty good. Check all of the connection first and then do a self test.

You would be better off using a dual-conversion receiver at any rate as you are likely to have nuisance interference with the single conversion receiver.

The Tamiya electronics can be quirky with PCM type radios.
