I fly the GWS Mini Dragonfly right out of the box EM150 Motor Gear drive tail. The only thing I changed out was the battery pack, I now use a 2 cell 1320 MAh 7.V Lipo pack. It increases my flight time to almost 18 mins. And it hovers fantastic right in my living room.

I fly an E_sky Honeybee (FP). Oh fun fun fun!!! I need a new rotor head, so no more flying till i get some money... I nick named it the "heliflopper" cuz when i first got it, the tail motor caused the mixer board to malfunction, causing it to loose all control, almost every time i took it to the air. But now it doesnt do that. yay!!!

I fly a Piccolo Pro with the only stock being the chassis, piccoboard pro and 410 brushed motor.

titanium rods, 100T oneway gear,
cnc machined head, swashplate, blade grips, and flybar ball ends
ducted fan tail motor
lightened flybar paddles
1200mah 3 cell lipo

not a bad setup, except I spent my money not going with seperates, like I should have. Now I have a $900 underpowered heli that is way too heavy in the back end from the ducted fan (14 oz. of counterweight on the batt. at the front), and I still haven't learned to fly the durned thing. I have finally had a 20 second flight, before the ducted fan blew the heli too far away, yes the ducted fan blows my heli sideways... at a very good rate. I have to mess with the gain settings, but I may switch back to just a direct drive... Too bad I CA'd the fan to the tail boom...

I've flown an esky honey bee stock for no more than 10 stock battery charges. Have gone thru' 2 tail motors and 1 rotor head centre hub. This video was shot just before the 2nd tail motor went south. I figure that any unnecessary friction and vibration on the rotor head mechanism means more power required by the tail motor and shorten its life.

Once I tune-out all the unnecessary friction and vibration on the rotor head mechanism and when my DD tail and 2-cell lipo come in, I'll see how long the DD tail will last.

NICE FLIGHT. I just bought a hummingbird. These micros dont look like very stable hooverers as stock. But not to bad in forward flight. I got 2 2cell lipos for the hummingbird. Its comming in a week. Cant wait. Have you flown outside yet?

Thanks Pizzaman.

With some fine-tuning, I think these little helis can actually hover pretty stable. Sometimes I was able to hover more stable than in the video but I'm new to RC aircraft so I'm not consistent yet, still learning and practising. I found that rotor head vibration hurts stable hover, can confuse gyro and I get waggy tail which hurts stable hover even more.

I started learning to hover from the included simulator and later outdoor on my big driveway. While learning, I find any mild wind to be scary so once I was a bit more confident I hovered in the garage and then proceeded to my bedroom.

Here're some pics taken when I was playing on my driveway before I proceeded to bedroom.

Once I get my DD tail and lipo and dialed-out as much vibration as possible, I'll try hovering outdoor again. An experienced pilot friend of mine have flown my heli in figure 8's nice and smooth and pretty fast so I know the heli is capable.
