I received a phone call from Jim's brother John that Jim passed away on Tuesday 9/4/12. Jim was an avid AMA Pylon racer and Club Warbird Racer in California. If you knew Jim, he was a great guy and always fun to watch fly.

There will be services in Lodi on Wednesday 9/12/12. Email me if you need info.

Thanks
Kevin

Very sad news. Jim was a great guy, always friendly and in a good mood. I enjoyed getting to catch up with him a bit when he came out to watch the Woodland EF1 race in April. He will be missed.

I heard the news this weekend at the Woodland Ca race... As most people know, I was introduced to Pylon racing by Bruce Coffey. And during those early years, Jim Womack practiced with us most every weekend. I would venture to say that all three of us flew together for about 2 years.. We wore out the race course. Jim was an awesome guy, very helpful to me... I'll certainly never forget him.
