Despite its lack of success as a fighter, and an unimpressive attempt as a bomber in which a raid was carried out against a Zeppelin base with 25 pound bombs, it came into its own a trainer.
The 504 trained virtually every British pilot in the Great War and was still being used for training when Douglas Bader joined the RAF in 1938.

Status: offline 		The type was notorious for “turning turtle”, or flipping over due to the preponderance of weight in the front of the aircraft (engine and pilots) compared to the wood and fabric in the rear.
The wooden device slung between the wheels that appears to be a skid is actually a modification that kept the prop from striking the ground in a bad landing.
Total production 10,000 +, Max Airspeed 90 mph, Ceiling 16,000 feet

Status: offline 		Some detail on the Ford Model T starter.

The Model T Ford- based aircraft starter was a creation of a unique aviation character, Bentfield C. Hucks. Born in 1884, Hucks gravitated flying after getting a three year ban from motoring for speeding. Hucks taught himself to fly, and became the chief pilot at Blackburn School of Flying in the UK.
This vehicle is the first example of a ground support vehicle for aviation, and was used on RFC and RAF stations for two decades.
Hucks designed his starter vehicle, based on a Ford Model T, to engage directly with the propeller to replace the tiresome and dangerous method of hand-propping aircraft.

Status: offline 		“The best ship I ever flew”, according to no less than American ace Eddie Rickenbacker, the “SPAD” was a French biplane fighter that became one of the most capable and most produced aircraft of the ‘Great War’, requiring nine different companies to ensure production.
In the first six months after they got SPADs. Les Cigognes, the famous French Stork squadron, shot down more than two hundred aircraft, a feat unequalled in the war.
By the end of the war, the SPAD equipped 15 of 16 American Fighter Squadrons. The SPAD on display was built in 2004, and is painted in the colors of Major Charles Biddle of the Lafayette Flying Corps and Escadrille 73.
Total production 8,472, Max. airspeed 135 mph, Ceiling 21,815 feet

Status: offline 		When the Sopwith Pup entered service in the fall of 1916, it quickly became a favorite of pilots in the Royal Naval Air Service. Squadrons of the Royal Flying Corps began receiving the Pup in January 1917.

It was superior to the Fokker scouts and more than a match for any of the new Halberstadt and Albatros scouts. Armed with a single synchronous machine gun, it was lighter and less dangerous than it's successor, the Sopwith Camel.
Total production 1,770, Max. airspeed 106 mph, Ceiling 18,500 feet

Introduced in 1918, the Halberstadt CL.IV was designed to improve on the successful ground attack design of the CL.II. Design changes in the CL.IV gave it much greater maneuverability, and allowed it to better avoid ground fire.
In addition to the single machine gun controlled by the pilot, the rear gunner, sitting in his own ring-mount cockpit, fired a slightly different gun that had a superior rate of fire that could be directed at ground targets as well as air-to air defense.

I didn't take pictures but there is also a Curtis Pusher flying replica.

This aircraft is specifically a replica of the one used by Eugene Ely, who was the first pilot to take off of and land on a U.S. naval vessel. On November 14, 1910, Ely Took off from the USS Birmingham in Hampton Roads.
Two months later on January 11, 1911, Ely landed his Curtiss on a modified platform on the USS Pennsylvania in San Francisco Bay, using cables weighted with sandbags as his arresting gear. Max airspeed 50 MPH.

Status: offline 		My scratch built (by another older gent) and then rebuilt after I lost it in 2010 when it would not recover from a spin. It was like my 6th spin that day and just did not want to come out!
Fokker D-VII German night fighter. JASTA 7. named: "Schwarz Hund" Black Dog for you Zepplin fans.

You every fly with Stuka Barry at Sod busters? Be careful his 1/3 scale Fokker D-VIII already has one kill against our clubs Sopwith Pup. He scored it at Warbirds over Delaware in the noon gaggle. But Pup was quickly restored to flying status.
He is rumored to be on his way too.

The allied seamed be outnumbered so far. We will have a target rich environment! The Pup was quite a plane and beat the Fokker Scurge once. Sounds like round two in a few weeks.
