Remenber just for showing up and paying the landing fee you will automaticly be able to win a cert. from Balsa USA for any WWI airplane worth up to $500.00. That is very cool.
Thank you Balsa USA.
I just saw the awards that Glenn Torrance will be giving out and they are way cool.
The IMAA will also be giving out awards to all pilots
Event T shirts were made and will be avaliable for very little moola, you will like them
We also have more surprizes for all of you
Remember this is a NO Presure event just come and have fun flying

John,

Looks like the Georgia southern dawn patrol will be well represented. Your planes look so cool. I can' t wait to see these big boys in person and hear the engines as they come to life.

Make sure that Dr-1 has a pilot. The Albatross is very cool. Seams like that is the plane everyone likes in 2012.

Perhaps we can do a Nieuport flight together. We have two 1/4 scale in our club. Bill has a Busa and I the proctor pictured earlier.

I'll try and get some photos this weekend of the aviation museums new D-VII. How long have you been flying yours?
Is a GTM design?

Ill do some pics of their new Sopwith Camel. Plan to post by next Tuesday.

John, just went to you tube and watched the video at Mac Hodges field.

Can you post the link to your YouTube, Albatross first flight. Wow!

I have been trying to decide on same power plant set up, g-62 and reduction gear or Da85 for my Tripehound.

Now I can't wait to see your Albatross in person. So much to learn in this hobby.

Forgot to mention Mr Mac Hodges and his crew. Last two years at Warbirds over Delaware, our Club has set up just to his left. Usually we have 10-12 reps in 18-40 ft tent. Tidewater RC

Man can he fly.

His caller is a riot. Something about... yawl and pumpin the monkey ( going really fast ?)

OK guys
Its getting close. The museum just completed thier full scale WWI show and it was great. Now its our turn.
We have a WWI T-Shirt vendor coming as well as a vendor who sells WWI aviation books and they are awsome. I bought 3 books. One for a D7, DR1 and the Junkers (TinDonkey). They are new books that are a must for anyone building a model or even full size. I have never seen books with this much info.
So lets get your birds ready for another Dawn Patrol.
If you miss this you will regret it.
Fokkers Rule!!!

Reminder to all this is a model R/C event.

All WWI scales and sizes are welcome from the tiny electrics and on up.
Fly dawn to dusk Thursday-Sunday from our grass runway. Pilots meeting 0900 each day.

I've been posting so many pics of the Military Aviation Museums full size replica's I just want to make sure.

Also suggest you walk out to the main runway and see how wide it really is. Kinda deceptive at first view.
The property line has a row of large tree's in the background of the main runway. Cross runway is also very wide.

Since a full scale B-17 (140ft wingspan) can fit on the grass runway, most of you will have no problem.

cheers, Mike

A sample of how wide the cross runway is.

Museum had to push its WW-II Warbirds to this area due to over 18 WW-I airplanes on the main ramp.
