After building a BUSA-1/4 scale DVII last winter I became a WWI-airplane lover. Everything is true what I heard and read about this particular plane. It flies like it has a built-in AP. The color scheme I picked belonged to Lt. Olivier von Beaulieu-Marconnay and his 4D-insignia stands for the 4th Prussian Dragoons. His many kills made him the commander of the Jagdstaffel 15. Looks like we will have a nice attentance from many pilots beside our own club members. Look forward to see you there.

Paul, I've seen many of your builds. Can't wait to meet you, Jeff, Barry and Gary.

Scott and Mark, event coord and CD, will be at the field wednesday afternoon.

I plan to join as soon as I can for final preps. You have Scott's cell on the poster. Mine is 757 705 1515.

Call if you need anything.

As to your big projects. AWESOME! Love the camel scheme with the bat. Unusual scheme are so cool.
We will have to ensure the museum owner sees your big stuff as well. Can't wait.

Gary wil have to check out the Curtiss Pusher, 100% scale and impeccable attention to detail.

Looks like Gary is following in the same , true scale vein.
Thanks for the pics.

Make sure I get some time to talk 1/3 scale power plant choices. I'm looking for advice on the prop reduction units out there or a Da85.

What kind of beer you all drink or other adult beverages?

We will have a couple of new DA 85 's with us and we will have the Top of the Line "reduction drive unit" from Vogelsang! So you will have visual stimulation with your talk time...LOL!

Oban Single malt is always a good chioce.  I remember a Blue Max competion a few years back where I tried to influence the Flight Boss and a couple of Judges.  It didn't work, or it worked too well.  They say they didn't remember ANYTHING from the night before!!!

Hey Paul what plane is your "Vogelsang" drive on?

Pics from Saturday. This may be the last installment, the weather is supposed to close in tomorrow and I don't think there will be much, if any, flying.... The awards were given out, and somewhere in here is a picture of the award winners, in order, from left to right, best of show, best central powers, best allied. It was a hard decision, to be sure, all the airplanes were fantastic.

To the crew of the Mid Atlantic Dawn Patrol - Scott, Mark, Mike, et al - WOW! What a setting!

Rhonda and I had a great time at your event......we arrived home this evening shortly before 10:00 pm. Just couldn't sleep last night, so we got up early and got everything packed (almost before the rain began) and hit the road at 6:22 am.

Will post some pictures after we unwind - maybe sometime tomorrow.

Again, thanks for a great weekend.......we were very well received by you and your club members.........treated like Royalty, we were!

See you all next year!

To the entire Mid Atlantic DP crew,
I don't think I could add anymore than HPA and Art, what a fantastic event. Def. on my list for next year.... if the Ohio group is invited back. A huge thanks to you and all your staff.
