I am in the middle of trying to remove a cam bearing from a DZ 160 Crankcase. Anyone got any suggestions how too! -

I would heat the case up in an oven and holding the case with a welding glove, tap it on the side on a piece of wood to get it out. I know some guys use a torch to heat the crankcase but that would be personal preference.

As Petec says, heating up the case normally works but sometimes it won't budge, I made up a special tool that goes into the bearing hole and I expand the end
to grip the bearing then I can pull it out of the hot crankcase.

Easiest way is to shave some candle wax into the bearing inner hole and tamp it in with the smooth end of a drill the same diameter as the shaft end. Keep adding wax untill full and tamp a bit harder, the bearing will be pushed out. Takes about one minute to accomplish with no mechanical damage.
