I just purchased a TMaxx 3.3 from Tower Hobbies and should have it by the end of the week. Any words of advice other than I should have gotten electric? I had electric cars years ago and I absolutely hate waiting for batteries to charge...plus I don't mind working on something and having to adjust it. I like that sort of stuff. Anything you guys recommend I purchase before I receive the truck? I ordered fuel and extra glow plugs with the truck. Any parts I should have on hand as extras, tools I should have or anything else you guys can recommend. Thanks ahead of time!!

I think you got everything you need to get it running. I dont have a T-maxx but you might need some BLUE (not red!) Loctite for the motor mount screws after you adjust the gear mesh. (Good call on extra glow plugs too.) Tool wise you dont need anything special besides something you can get out of a Craftsman set (Phillips head and Flat head screwdrivers, wratchets.) or the truck will come with anything it might need.

Now the only thing really left is you knowing how to start it.

Nitro clean and an exhaust deflector too. I've used non flammable JB brake clean extensively to clean up after a days run too. Only drawback of JB is it eats the paint off the shock springs. found out too late.

For a 15 min "top off" charge on two 3 cell 6000 Mah lipos, I ran about an hour and a half with my MM emaxx last weekend. Not a bad trade off IMO.
