As you will soon be able to tell I am a rube in the world of scale boating, but have assembled a few smaller speedy electrics over the last little while. Basically my situation is this. I blindly bought two KMB 28-mm jet drives a couple weeks ago mainly because I had this vision of a dual jet drive brushless setup. So then I start looking into PT boats and love the look and think that because they're fairly shallow hulls and were meant for shallow water in RL, they would fit pretty nicely with the jet drives. So now I'm looking at hulls, and I am wondering if this would be a good candidate to buy one of the Lindberg 1/32 scale hulls for about 100 bucks or so and then convert it over to my setup? Any other suggestions are welcomenot too sure about building it myself as I basically have zero experience so would likely want something assembled that I could just modify to suit my needs.

Status: offline 		Maybe check FeeBay to see if there are any fiberglass hulls available. I bought a 36 inch fiberglass PT hull there a while back for I think about $60 + ship.

PT boats were not shallow water boats. They were used in all kinds of seas, including open ocean. That is why they were so successful against Japanese maritime targets, both civilian and military. However, if you are talking about shallow water (brown water) and jet drive, are you sure you don't mean Vietnam War era PBR boats? (Patrol Boat River) They were modified pleasure hulls about 30' in length and were fitted with two jet drives. They were shallow water vessels. The only kit I am aware of would be Franks Mosquito Boat hobbies. He has a semi kit of a PBR . I built one a few years ago and indeed fitted it with two jet drives. I believe it was about 1/12th scale

Pete: Although not what I was thinking of, those PBR hulls may provide a better match. I can see from a cursory search that its going to be harder to find a PBR hull than a PT hull though . Anyways thanks for the input I will look into that.
