Hi all i am new to the world of sparky action, like it a lot.

I have a E flight 25 with the jetti 40 esc and a 1500 Milli amp 4 s 14.8 Batt. Turning a 10x7 wood prop. On a 40 size balsa mono trainer.

I got her all together charged up, and taxied her around for ruffly 4-5 minutes with out the wing and the motor shut down, I did get on the stick racing it down the street to check out the speed for take off,I assume low voltage cut off.
Unacceptable for flight.

I went to the LHS and started talking batteries, he showed me a couple form the 3000 Milli to 5000 mili. 3 S and 4 S.

And the prices started from 60 to 80 $.

They all had the Large Deen`s connectors (if I`m saying it properly) Like the 3200 I have hooked up to my heli starter.

Do they make a BIG to Little Deens ?

Or is this set up I have all wrong ?
Thank You for any help, links or prices on where to shop.

If you need to connect standard Deans to MicroDeans you could make up your own patch cord... but MicroDeans are only good for 15A max. You should really fit matching standard Deans to your ESC. For an E-flite 25 you probably do need a larger battery if you want decent flight time. At WOT, with a 10x7 on 4s you could be drawing 32A or so... a 1500mAh pack would only last about 2 minutes, and as you've found out, hit LVC very quickly.... you'd get 4-5 minutes of WOT with a 3000mAh pack.

Your 40A ESC should be enough.. it's the pack which is the problem... voltage under load diminishes rapidly if the pack is pushed near its limits.

Looks like I`m in the 4-5 mili range. Like to get more flight time, not steady at WOT.

The 1500mah battery is pretty small for that motor. You should look at 3000 and up for that plane.

This may add a little confusion because they come with 4mm banana connectors. If you wanted to stay with Deans, you would need to change them over or build an adapter.

Buzz.

You asked about going from "big Deans to little Deans" so I assumed you had big (UltraDeans) on your packs and little (MicroDeans) on the ESC. I don't know of any Deans bigger than the stock UltraDeans.... Deans Ultra and Deans Micro 2-pin are shown in photos.

Ultra are 2-pin only (always red, and with big spade pins) and Micro... but Micro come in many variants, in both red and black, 2-pin [for batteries, battery ends of ESCs, and brushed motors (and motor ends of brushed ESCs)], 3-pin polarized (for brushless motors and motor ends of brushless ESCs), even 4-pin (?what for).

So I`m looking ...or as to refer to a basic deans connector as an ULTRA ?
Half inch wide.
I got a 5\8 on the 3200Mah tied into my heli starter.
I like how you said SPADE!
Now were talking, no pins for me.
This bird is almost 4 pounds dressed....The only pin I wanna see is the one the pops outta of turkey on the smoker.
