I have a Tamiya Mercedes trcuk 1/14 scale. Which I used for the first time in a few years yesterday, still runs, and goes okay. But the drivetrain was making a few strange noises, so stopped using it when that happened.
Wondered what I should check on the truck to verify all was okay. Or should I take it to an RC shop?
Frankly not sure what I need to check on it, havent worked on it before.

Do most rc shops typically service these trucks or perform maintanence on them?

I'm in australia

What do you mean by strange noises? Tamiya 3 speeds do make more noise both driving and shifting than most rc cars. If you have a camera that will take video, you could post a clip of it making these noises and we may be able to help.

Whether your local rc shops can competently service them, I don't know. Most shops by me(granted I don't live in AU) haven't even heard of Tamiya's semi truck line.
