I don't want to start a brand issue war..I am considering buying one of these and would like to make an informed decision. I've search this site and others for comments on the FE
brand. I'd appreciate hearing from owners of this bird about issues or compliments.

Many Thanks

Bill Jarrett

When I get the chance, and space, this is also the one I want. A buddy of mine built one for the Air Force and it was to drool for.
Only thing I would change is to electrify the retracts, since they are massive and Im not sure that air is robust enough.
The detailing is superb.
Good luck on your search. Truly an amazing model.
David

Dude, you were able to actually break ground on a 23lb Falcon?
I was thinking more like a Mammoth or even a P200.

Bill, I am sending you a pm with my cell number. I am traveling for business right now, in PHX and heading to DFW this afternoon. I'll try and call when I get some time at the airport.

In the meantime, the FEJ 1/5.5 is absolutely a great airframe. I have built the early ones before Honeycomb and also with the honeycomb. Yes, the first production ones were quite heavy but flew like a dream and felt extremely light in the air. There are ton of videos of my Arctic Aggressor F-16 on Youtube and RCU Videos and KY Jets from 3 years ago. My original one was 71 lbs wet and now has over 200 flights and still going after more than 3 years. I did get Matrix to build a custom gear since there were issues early on with the FEJ gear. Now, with their newer design and the fact that the 1/5.5 and 1/4.6 have electric gears...they are really a great way to go for sure.

The construction quality of the FEJ planes is fantastic. They vacuum bag their layups and all their former "marriages" to the airframes, wing spars, servo box setups are very well proven to be high quality.

I'll touch base soon.

Rex
