Status: offline 		 Would this work using a Futaba Y Connector,or would I blow something, and what would i do with the Battery plug? I've turned into a speed freak and want to run 2 brushless motors in an rc car.

Status: offline 		y harness to the radio would work. run the battery connectors in parallel. did it on a twin engine flyer

Absolutely correct.  I am planning to get a E-Maxx (original)and modify it for bl.

Status: offline 		The Y-cable would work: but you may find installing 2 brushless motors in an E-Maxx doesn't give you great bang-for-your-buck. A single budget motor (example) is enough to flip it over backwards if you stab the throttle, and give you top speeds that you can't sustain due to ballooning tires and the high center-of-gravity allowing the chassis to wallow all over the place.

Maybe start with one brushless motor and see how it handles?

Example: Look at how this Savage Flux handles with a single brushless: your E-Maxx chassis and tires aren't going to be any more composed.

Status: offline 		Yeah, Emaxx and Savage designs lend themselves to using a beefier single motor with a big ESC and most importantly a BIG battery.

What you're describing is how you make a Clod Buster brushless. Using a Y connector and yes it works.

Status: offline 		the ezrun 80a system is good. The redcat 1/8 scale earthquake comes with it and runs on 4s and does over 40mph. flips onto its back if you peg the throttle.

There have beeen a few who ran duel VXL systems on an emaxx. but there is no real advantage to doing so. Twin smaller motors dont really provide more power or run cooler than a single bigger motor.

Same is true of the brushed. The twin 550 motors dont put out the same power as a single titan 775 motor.

The ezrun 80 or 150a systems will do the job and be easier to install.

And as mentioned above, get a good battery. 5000mah and at least 30c.
