Note: As I suspected the untreated Solartex (Linen) weighs twice as much as the Koveral plus silk combined. The Koverall/silk needs filling with PolyC or dope but I think it's a toss up for which complete finish would be lighter.

Matz, on this model, I'm already committed to using the Koverall. I've already finished one wing panel. And at this point, I don't see any alternative to using the silk to get the color I want. I certainly prefer using the silk to painting the wings.
