U.S. Jet guys!
Are there any model airfield near Fort Pickett, where you can fly jets?
I will probably be there in a few weeks.

Regards
Lasse Palm

Upload Google Earth, then upload rcclubs.kmz
The rcclubs.kmz overlay will show all of the clubs, asnywhere on the globe.
It places an airplane and the name of the club at each field location.

I'm assuming that you are talking about the Ft. Pickett in Blackstone, VA, right? Are you going to be there for UAV flying? We fly UAVs there as well.

Unfortunately, there isn't *anything* that is near Ft. Pickett - its out in the middle of nowhere... There isn't even a decent hotel in town.

I belong to several clubs up near the Richmond VA area. There are 4 or 5 active jet flyers in the Richmond area and we occasionally fly our jets at the club fields, but all of the clubs have grass runways. If you want to do, or watch, some RC flying while you are there, contact me via PM and I'll let you know where its best to check. For jets, however, we tend to do most of our flying at jet events and flying sites further away from our area.

Bob

LOL so right!!!! except for Fort Rucker! Best place ever for jets. Two clubs here and both are on paved runways large enough for fixed wing LOL
