Were those NASA T-38's with it?

Hi Matt, Yes they were t-38s. Two weeks ago they mapped the route and used one of the NASA f-18s and one of the 38s. S

It is sad that's that's the end of it. The chase planes were f-18's at least one was, not sure of the other.
It was hard filming it, I just wanted to put the camera down just to enjoy it, but figured this is forever better to try my best and get some good footage
Glad you guys like it, pretty amazing moment!

Thanks for the video. Awesome, but really so sad to see. Kinda like a funeral saying goodbye.

What a sight! thanks for posting it.

Not a sad vision IMO... machines always have been substituted for something better. Next step perhaps a single stage to orbit?

Erbroens. Let's hope so but like some of the others stated, sometimes I also feel like we are going backwards. Big Governments need the big space money for their own interest and other advancements are laid to rest these days. Mabey when all these darn wars are over with , we can get back into space with something besides a robot. Ha.

I hope it too.. and what a robot! These days I watched the live broadcast of the curiosity mars mission landing and saw something that make my jaw drop. They tested a method of using the disc shaped capsule with its ablative disk as a hypersonic glider, controled by payload CG shifting and also reaction rockets. This allows pinpoint landing accuracy in planetary missions without carrying any fuel at all.. (not to mention the sky crane landing method that looked wild but worked perfectly).

This method turns more feasible a human mission to mars, making possible to send before the explorers arrive living headquarters, water, food.. etc.. and then right at the side of all this the ships with the first people in mars.

I think like one guy said in a newspaper that human progress is not like a ratchet, as we can easily loose things we already achieved.. however I believe that mankind has a natural tendency to keep the ratchet turning and turning.

Ooooh I do agree on all of that. It's important and Nes. But I just don't want it to stop there. There is nothing like a being planting their own flag on that surface.

Above planting anyone´s flag in another planet (there are at least 500 of them , and most likely trillions) the real important thing is that mankind is not going to get stuck into this little cradle.

Cool video, as good as it gets :-) I wonder how hard the 747 have to work to keep it flying?
