I recently had two cylinder heads worked on by Mr. Lee and wanted to come on here and write a public note of thanks. He had the heads for about three weeks and when I got them back the work was "A1-First Class". He installed a brass insert in the exhaust outlet of my Saito 180 and installed a "heli-coil" in my Saito 82. The work was done is a very professional manner and words cannot explain the quality that Mr.Lee put into the repairs.I also dealt with "Mrs. Lee" and she was extremely pleasant when I called on the phone. To top it all off, he put a personal note in with the repairs outlining just what he had done and wishing me many happy flights. C.F.Lee Mfg. is a first rate operation and Clarence Lee is a true "legend" in this hobby, but more importantly he is a gentleman and knows how to take care of his customers. THANK YOU Mr.LEE!

Happy Flying!

I completely agree. He has always included a personal note any time he has done anything for me. His work is fantastic! I am a big fan of Mr. Lee.

I have to jump on this band wagon.  He has done work for my twice and the results are without flaw.  I also got a kick out of the note that came back wiht my Saito 150 head.  "This adaptor was installed with locktite and a big wrench.  Not try to unscrew it"  He is a gentleman and a very talented machinist.

My thanks to him also.

Don

Loopman, I couldn't agree more. I've had the same experience with both Mr. and Mrs. Lee. Most professional and yet kind and caring. Thanks a lot to them both.

I've found him polite and responsive to email questions. I bought a K&B 61 carb with remote needle valve with a 10% discount. I spoke with his wife for almost an hour one day and it was a very friendly and interesting conversation.

His engine colums date back to the '50s I believe.

When he was testing engines for a RCM magazine article he never found anything wrong with any of them.

I too have had an engine repaired by Mr. Lee.  Great job.  And it is still running after five years with the fix.  Same old exhaust repair on the head using a fitting and JB weld.  There was not much thread left and his work samed me a pile of money.

Thanks Mr. Lee.
