 Hello all,

Having few issues with the VS1 on lipo's and might look to go nitro, what is the correct size 3.5 or 7.5 and what is a good brand to look at?

Next does anyone have a good second hand outboard or do I buy new?

Cheers

Hi

Standard 3.5 cc OS Outboard. They run very well, I also suggest you buy new as they are not that expensive.

The O.S. 21 XM Version2 has the air cooled head and expansion chamber in the muffler, it's definitely faster than Version1. It's a great combo with the VS1.
If you already have the O.S. leg it should save you some cash if you can order just the power head.
What problems are you having with the FE VS1? I'm running one as well.

  Mate,

I am running the proboat outboard with the 1900kv motor, 200 amp ESC but only using a 30C 5800 4S and that is getting very hot and swells up, my guess is to go to a Nano lipo 4S or 5S and get the 65C-130C, I am also running a balanced and sharpened Octura X445.

What setup do you run and will the Lipo upgrade solve my issues?

Thanks

There are two of us running with the Aquacraft 2030kv UL-1 motors on O.S. legs with Turnigy 120 esc's. The 4s packs are mostly Nanotech 35-70c.
I'm running an ABC. 42x55 B/C prop on mine and they are pretty quick at least as fast as the nitro maybe quicker. We haven't puffed any packs yet but they get fairly warm and the esc's are lukewarm.
