Birdy,

Dec 14th I believe.

Bringing my Ultra Lightning and I have got my Super Bandit flying again, just to show all these young upstarts(aka jamie) how they should be flown with the correct amount of power.

Geoff.

Andrew, the December Classic Jets is scheduled for 28th December - NOT 14th.

Rgds,

Dick

Cheers Dick. I'm sure I can make that work - it may well get me away from the hideousness that is the Christmas in-laws

Just a simple question. Why is it called Classic Jets yet so many bring along modern Sports Jets. Just interested in the origin of the name ?

Thats it! I am putting a restraining order on Mr Noel that prohibits him from being within 100 meters of any photographic device. How on earth can he make such an aeroplane look so bad!
Anyway. Here are some photos of my EEL, along with one of its very skilled creator Trond Hammerstad.

Nicos,

The event is being held in the UK at what was RAF Abingdon(now Dalton Barracks) which is near Oxford. It is just a single day, the 28th. Dick(CJ2002) is the organiser of the event and I am sure he would be very happy for you to come along.

Geoff.

EDIT: I see 'The Cock' got in first.

Nicos,

Last years Christmas Classic Jets was great, it really spruced up the Season of good Jet Flying!

Geoff,

A steam powered old relic!

Now that's fighting talk where I come from![>:]

You really can't let the Rebel get away with that, can you?

That Lightning is the nuts Al...got to be the ultimate model one could own! It can't fail to give significant trouser activity...keep IB away from it! Getting really sad, last time I saw a real one perform was in the late 80s at RIAT...you MUST bring it along so we can drool over it!

PM replied to Nicos.

OK, all food shopping now done (Sainsbugs is empty!), off to load the van!

Cheers,

Dick

So are you saying that it would not be a good idea to bring it along tomorrow as a static display then?

Ali - please bring those over wing tanks with you so we can burn them and never have to see such a beautiful plane defiled by them again!

Sorry guys, I have not had the time since Jet Power to even get the EEL out, other than to have it inspected for the LMA/ CAA stuff. It was a rush to get the F-16 its cert to test, and I didnt want to take the pee with the CAA ( More than I already do ) So I guess it has to be the 28th of dec then guys. Sorry.

Great day at Classic Jets 52. Big thank you to Dick and his team, well organised, great food, even the weather did not cause too much disruption.

Will post some pictures later.

Alistair.

Yes, just finished unloading the van after another good event, lunch time shower only stopped play for a short time and Ali using his F-86 electric hoover to pull some excess water off the runway probably speeded up the drying once it stopped

Plenty of flying and other than a pants drive back a great day.
Big thanks to Dick's "family of friends" (and family )
