90in span 50cc size revolver in the works. Should fly great, may try one when they are available.

I have had two Revolver 70s and they have both been very good quality.

One season, gear pulled out of fuse, wheel pants shredded and cowl cracked terribly from normal use. I have a lot of work to do this winter.

That sounds more like rough flying than the quality of the plane. Though I will admit that the landing gear mounting is weak as it is in most ARFs. There is an easy fix for that outlined in the Revolver 70 thread over in the ARF/RTF forum.

Very true, the gear could be ripped out of an f-18 fighter if one landed harder than the design factors of the gear. The 90in span revolver is all wood with aluminum gear. No way one could build it from a kit for $ 429.00.I'm  sure the gear will be much  beefier to cope with the 20 lb weight and the mass of a 50cc engine hanging on the front.

I have no desire to own a Revolver............my comment is when will GP get with the program and start offering planes that are not over weight? If this plane comes out to 18.5-20lb with only 1300 some odd squares, they are missing the boat here.

What does a little weight matter in a Sport Plane? The ARFs are lighter than kits anyway, so what's the problem? They aren't designed to do 3D anyway.
You should say you personally have no desire to own a Revolver because it isn't designed for 3D.
