Sure would be nice if this voting thing could be done electroincally. And video feed and blogs from the headquaters and candidates alike.

I'd like to give a big thumbs up to the nice young lady named Joellen at the AMA . I recently renewed my membership on the phone and she is a very pleasant person to deal with . The call took less than 5 minutes , got done what I needed to , and was treated in a very professional manner by Joellen .

With all the negative things we see in forums , It's really great to be able to applaud good service when we get it .

Thank You to Joellen for making my renewal the easiest thing I did that day !

Got that right! My dealings with the member's business end has always been great... There are some really great people working for AMA and I think they need a lot more recognition than they are usually given.

"Dues are due!" ???
What date are they due and how long after that do we have to pay them?
I got my truck registration renewal form in the mail, I had about 58 days to pay it.
I also got my AMA renewal... see what I mean

* I know the answers,
wondering who else does considering the urgentness expressed in the title.

Did mine online this year, really quick and easy. 2 year senior $93, they even email you a receipt and renewal confirmation notice almost immediately. Their membership services via the website have improved greatly, my hat off to them.

Renewed Online. What gets me is they charge $4 if you want Model Aviation mailed in a protective sleeve but only $2 for Park Flyer magazine mailed in a protective sleeve.  What gives on the price difference??????

Even if membership were to drop down to 15,000..all it would take to keep everyone paid up and happy up is 1 guy with a cell phone working from home in his pajamas.

Not yet but I did vote for the first time. Randy Cameran. I have known Randy for years and he would make a great VP. He has an open mind and will listen.

I don't know the other guy. I saw Randy the other day and I talked to him about the AMA being open and streaming all their meetings and events. If he is elected, and they want to be opened I will offer to go there and set it up. I do that where I work today due to we must be open.

I setup my church streaming on the cheap with very little and slow Internet connection. It can be done with maybe items they have in their office today.

The truth is you could stream all their meetings with an iPad.

Are the membership cards being delayed for some reason? I renewed before the end of the year and still no new card. It is a mere 120 miles from Muncie to Seymour.

Mine took a month, I suppose its due to end of year volume.

You can put your ama number and last name here http://www.modelaircraft.org/MembershipQuery.aspx and verify if your coverage is good, thats what really matters. Any CD should take that at an event should you attend one before you get your card. I know I keep an iPad handy at events I CD so I dont have to turn someone away simply because they forgot an AMA card.
