Was doing my semi-annual complete tear down on my RC8B (almost an RC8.2 at this point) and decided to try and clear up a mystery that has always bugged me...

I have an RC8B FT Kit but apparently this issue is true for the RC8.2 kit as well...

On page 10 of the RC8B assembly manual (or page 12 of the RC8.2 assembly manual), there are two "caster angle bushings", part # 89032, one red and one blue that are inserted into the caster block to set the caster angle. In the little inset on that page, it indicates that the words, "16 deg." are molded into one side of each piece. However, in reality, these pieces have the numbers, 1401, 1402, 1601, 1602, 1801, or 1802. These same numbers appear on both the red and blue bushings.

I assume the first two numbers represent the angle (14xx = 14 deg., 16xx = 16 deg., etc...) but I'm not sure what the "01" and "02" would mean... So would I use a "1401" red bushing with a "1401" blue bushing to get 14 degrees? If so, what's the difference between those and using a pair of "1402's"?

To be honest, when I first built the buggy, the numbers were soooo small that I couldn't read them and just assumed it said "16 deg" so I put them in oriented as depicted in the manual. No idea what I actually have in there now...lol. The numbers wear off with just a little use so I can't tell anymore. This time I'd like to put the correct set of bushings in.

There's no information that I can find on these little doo dads on the AE website or in the manuals.
